Method of Calculation of DA of each quarter in IDA Pay Scale  • DA in IDA Pay Scale is calculated based on 3 months All India Average Consumer Price Index..  • DA was first considered as ‘0’ as on January 1960 at AICPI at 1708 points.  • This base has been changed to 1982=100 with linking factor 4.93 to derive the AICPI with reference to 1960 ACPI. • Base index has again been changed to 2001=100 with linking factor 4.63 from 1982 AICPI. Base index has again been changed to 2016=100 with linking factor 2.88 from 2001 AICPI.
